Our Story

At Kanan Al Diyafa, our name carries a deep meaning

In Arabic, “Kanan” means protection, safety, and shelter — a place of comfort and security. Combined with “Diyafa”, meaning hospitality and generosity, our identity reflects exactly who we are: a safe haven of care, respect, and spiritual warmth for every pilgrim.

How It All Began

Kanan Al Diyafa was born from a dream — a vision to redefine hospitality for the guests of Allah. Our founder, Mr. Shawki Emad, spent over 11 years serving pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah. During these years, he witnessed their hopes, struggles, and needs. Many pilgrims longed for comfort, safety, and genuine care that went beyond a simple hotel stay.

From this experience came the idea: “What if there was a company that welcomed every pilgrim as family, provided peace of mind, and created an atmosphere of true belonging?” This was the seed that grew into Kanan Al Diyafa.

🕋 Our Purpose

We are more than a hospitality company — we are a spiritual home for pilgrims. From the moment our guests arrive until their safe return, we are committed to making their journey smooth, peaceful, and unforgettable.

Our mission is simple:

  • To serve pilgrims with honesty, warmth, and professionalism.
  • To create a safe environment where they can focus entirely on worship.
  • To treat every guest not as a client, but as part of our family.

Pilgrims are not clients — they are family

“I never saw hospitality as a job. For me, serving the guests of Allah is an honor and a calling. With Kanan Al Diyafa, I wanted to create more than a company — I wanted to create a home for pilgrims, a place where they feel safe, respected, and truly cared for.”
